How it Happened
- After two innings of scoreless baseball, sophomore JJ DeVito singled to score graduate student Robby Keane to put the Lions ahead, 1-0.
- The game remained 1-0 until the bottom of the seventh. Junior Garrett Scavelli reached on a fielder's choice and scored DeVito to extend the lead, 2-0.
- The Lions hung a four-spot in the eighth inning. Freshman Sean Serrano drove home two runs with a single, DeVito knocked in Serrano with a single, and Keane scored off an error.
- Molloy would go on to win, 6-0.
- Graduate student Brian Morrisey pitched seven scoreless innings allowing two hits and striking out five to move to 2-0 on the campaign.
- Senior Richard Gennaro tossed the final two frames and struck out four to collect his first save of the season.
