Three ECC Schools in the Latest IWLCA National Poll

Grand Lake, Colo. – Three East Coast Conference members were included in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association national poll released on March 5. C.W. Post is the top ranked ECC school, coming in at No. 3. Molloy and Dowling, ranked No. 11 and No. 13 respectively, are also in the poll.

C.W. Post remains in the No. 3 spot after taking their season opener by a score of 16-5 over St. Anslem. The Pioneers received one first place vote in the poll.

Molloy moves up three spots after winning two of three in the first week of the season. The Lions defeated Holy Family and Assumption after falling to the No. 1 Adelphi in their season opener.

Dowling drops from No. 8 to No. 13 in this week’s poll. The Golden Lions fell in their season opener to St. Anselm by a score of 13-11.

At the top of the poll, LeMoyne knocked three-time defending champion, Adelphi out of the top spot. Both schools received seven first place votes but LeMoyne narrowly took the top spot by five points.
